Get a professional headstart with a qualification as a Superior Technician in Prosthetic Audiology. Factors such as longer life expectancy mean that audiology testing is conducted on increasingly broader populations. This, coupled with therapeutic advances in the treatment of hearing diseases, highlights the importance of the presence of well trained professionals, who are part of multidisciplinary teams serving people with hearing loss and who are able to respond to the needs of these individuals.
You will learn how to perform audiology examinations to analyse the functionality of your ear. You will be able to select and adapt auditory prostheses, performing appropriate audiology assessment, by tracking the patient and maintaining the prosthesis. In addition, learn how to develop anatomical adaptors and hearing protection based on the morphological characteristics of the ear and devices that will be housed within the ear, as well as how to assemble acoustic and electro-acoustic devices with anatomical adaptors and hearing protection.
In addition, you will be studying with a unique online methodology that enables you to connect from any device and receive personalised support to ensure you do not face this new professional challenge alone.
